Discover - Autumn Term
Our Big Question is 'How can one person change the world?'
In our Discover Project this half term, we will be exploring how individual people can make a lasting difference.
We’ll begin by investigating what hospitals were like before the Crimean War and the conditions faced by patients at that time.
Then, we’ll learn about Florence Nightingale and how her hard work and determination helped to transform hospitals and nursing.
Finally, we’ll discover the inspiring story of Mary Seacole, her contributions during the Crimean War, and what made her such a remarkable and influential figure.
If you have any knowledge or experiences you think would be interesting to share with the class please do let us know! We would love to have you join us in school!
