  • Healthy Start Scheme from the NHS What is Healthy Start? If you're pregnant or have children under the age of 4 you can get free vouchers or payments every 4 weeks to spend on: cow's milk fresh, frozen or tinned fruit and vegetables infant formula milk fresh, dried, and tinned pulses You can also get free Healthy Start vitamins.

Parentline - part of the Healthy Families team offer

This is a confidential text messaging service for parents and carers across Nottinghamshire  - Text Parentline on 07520 619919

Parents and carers can contact the text messaging service for advice from Monday to Friday 9.00am - 4.30pm excluding bank holidays.  Messages sent to the dedicated number are delivered to a secure website, and responded to by the Healthy Family Team.

The texting service is an easy way for parent and carers of children aged 0 – 19 years to confidentially ask for help about a range of issues, such as:

  • feeding and nutrition
  • child development
  • parenting advice and support
  • emotional health and wellbeing
  • behaviour difficulties
  • family health
  • CBeebies Parenting website Looking for parenting and pre-school tips? Maybe you're after ideas for a creative activity, delicious recipe or the perfect party? You'll find all those here, along with insights into our CBeebies shows and how they support your child's development.
  • Young Minds website - Parents Helpline Our Parents Helpline is available to offer advice to parents and carers worried about a child or young person under 25. You may have questions about a child's behaviour, emotional wellbeing, or mental health condition.
  • NSPCC website Support and tips to help you keep children safe. From advice on children's mental health to staying safe online, support for parents and what to do if you're worried about a child.
  • Change4Life website - NHS Website with advice and suggestions for how families can eat less and move more and enjoy living a fitter and healthier lifestyle together
