We are so excited to begin our journey into Key Stage 1 together!

Here’s a sneak preview of what we’ll be exploring this year:

• Autumn Term – We’ll dive into our Discover Project, which has a History focus.

• Spring Term – We’ll move into our Explore Project, centred around Geography.

• Summer Term – We’ll finish the year with our Create Project, focusing on Art and Music.

One of the most important parts of Year 1 is developing our phonics knowledge. Phonics plays a key role in the curriculum, helping children build essential reading skills. We strongly encourage you to read regularly with your child at home—this makes a big difference in their progress and confidence.

We are looking forward to working with you to support your child with all of their learning this year.
