Explore Project (Spring Term)
This spring term, Year 5 will begin our Explore Project, where we will be learning all about Geography. Our Big Question is “Why should we care about places outside of the UK?” Children will learn where South America is located in the world and identify the countries that make up the continent. We will explore both the human and physical features of South America, including a closer look at the Amazon rainforest, where pupils will investigate the impact of deforestation.
Alongside this topic, children will also continue to learn the capital cities of European countries. You can support learning at home by helping to test their child on these.
