Within the Primary Curriculum, children are expected to know and be able to spell the year 5/6 statutory spelling words by the end of Year 6. Of course, these are not the only words that children are expected to spell accurately.

Also included below, is the year 3/4 statutory spellings words so that these can be recapped. 

Year 6 weekly spellings

Children will be explicitly taught spelling rules within class. Spelling lists will be displayed on the website for each half term.  They will be tested on the previous weeks spellings the following Friday.
