As well as learning different spelling rules as part of phonics, children are also expected to know and be able to spell the 'tricky words' on this statutory list by the end of Year 2.

Please find below examples of spellings / spelling patterns that will support our learning in class each half term. Please note that these spellings will not be formally assessed but will be the focus for our learning during lessons.
