Hello and welcome to Year 3 with Miss Taylor, Mrs O'Dea and Mrs Wilson!

Year 3 is an exciting time for everyone as the journey through Key Stage 2 begins and the children really develop the skills of independent learning. We will, of course, be having lots of fun along the way.

When reading with your child, please log this in your child’s planner as it helps us to keep track of how they are getting on! In Year 3 there is a big focus on comprehension (as well as word reading). Therefore, please support your child at home by asking them questions about what has happened or encouraging them to predict what might happen next based upon what they have read. Children can change their books throughout the week whenever they need to. 

PE will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays and children should come into school in their PE kits on these days.. Please also ensure that long hair is tied back on these days and that children are not wearing any jewellery (especially earrings).
